Sing Along Songs
Shortly after the release of my first CD, Inner Mission, a number of people asked me if I would ever consider recording songs that I normally perform live such as older hymns mixed with contempory worship. I took their request to heart. In October of 2007, I began to record Sing Along Songs. I truly do love singing these songs.
The front cover and back tray are actual photographs that Phil Block staged and shot. Tony Kashinn, a digital artist took the photos and drew them with a realistic looking cartoon effect. In February of 2008, I believe that the Lord compelled me to bypass the process of selling the CDs and just "give them away." And so, they are not for sale but free of charge. There is a $3.00 cost for mail orders to cover postage and packaging. When the times that we live in seem to be laden with darkness, listening to these songs will hopefully keep you in his joyous Light.
Musicians
The musical styles are really quite varied,
featuring big vocals and harmonies, while utilizing a wide range of
instruments, such as guitars, cello, piano, horns, woodwinds, violin, harp,
hand bells, bagpipe, East Indian sitar and various percussion instruments.

The Inner Mission
In March of 2004, I felt strongly led and
inspired by the Lord to begin work on the Inner Mission CD. The two years' work in the
recording studio that led up to the release of this CD were invigorating and more than rewarding. It has been an
absolute pleasure to work with the more than forty musicians and vocalists who
helped me complete this project.
The Inner Mission record is dedicated to the men and
women who have served, are serving, or will serve in the United States Armed
Services. All citizens of our country enjoy certain freedoms due to the
strength and courage of these people. And also to the believers having gone
before us who have kept and acted on their faith in Jesus Christ. May we do
likewise and earnestly desire to be mentors to the next generation.
I invite you to take a little walk with me up Melody Hill to see what we can hear.
